Spanish Grand Prix - Barcelona
27 April 2008
The 2007 race weekend in Spain saw rookie Lewis Hamilton take outright lead in the Championship, after the first 4 races of his Formula One career. The race saw action from the very start, where Alonso, in front of a home crowd, ambitiously attemped to over-take Massa on the first corner, resulting in his car coming off the track into the gravel trap. Massa went on to claim victory, his second successive win, with Hamilton in second and a disappointed Alonso in third.
