There’s something about Interlagos! Formula One world champions are crowned in Brazil on a regular basis and in 2009 we got the second British Formula One World Champion in two years. As with Lewis Hamilton the year before, the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix was a nailbiting race, all unfolding in the last laps. Like Massa before him, local man Reubens Barrichello went into the Brazilian Grand Prix race with a title hope but it wasn’t to be and, following a puncture, he could only finish eighth. Having fought his way up from fourteenth on the F1 grid, a fifth place finish in the Brazilian Grand Prix was good enough for Jenson Button and the Brawn F1 team to enter the history books.

As well as superb racing at Interlagos, a holiday in Brazil will also be a memorable experience. Sao Paulo is a vast city with plenty of entertainment and lots of excellent restaurants. Our longer Formula One holiday will take you first to Rio de Janeiro for three nights on the beach. The Cariocas are passionate about samba, football and the beach where they spend most of their free time. During your stay we include a city tour and a visit to the Statue of Christ from where you will have magnificent views over the city and the bay. After a long weekend in Sao Paulo we will take you to Iguassu for two nights close to the mighty Falls, one of nature’s wonders. Whichever 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix tour you choose you can sample the local cuisine. The locals enjoy excellent seafood and a meal in a churrascaria is a favourite way to spend an evening with friends. At all Brazilian Grand Prix hotels a copious buffet breakfast is included.
