The wonderful Classic Days weekend at the Magny Cours circuit is now firmly established on the classic events calendar. In the department of Nievre, with the vineyards of Sancerre and Pouilly to the north, Burgundy to the east and the beautiful city of Bourges to the west, it is well placed for sightseeing. The small towns and villages are the epitome of rural France and you can easily pick up everything you need for a lazy riverside picnic.
The circuit is close to the village of Magny Cours, south of Nevers and is surrounded by woodland and fields of cattle. It is a friendly circuit and attending any event here is a pleasure. 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the Magny Cours circuit, the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-Type and the Chevrolet Centenary. For Classic Days 2011 many special attractions, events and exhibitions are planned in celebration.
For our 2011 Classic Days tour, we will take the overnight crossing with Brittany Ferries to give you a full day to enjoy the drive down to Magny Cours and our hotel is on the circuit. On Saturday and Sunday you will have a parking space in the classic car park and you can take part in the Classic Parade. Lunch both days as well as dinner with entertainment on Saturday evening is included in the Classic Club above the pits.
Work on the motorway linking Paris to the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit has now been completed and opened to users on the 18th January 2011.
This news is sure to delight the 400,000 plus visitors who attend the circuit each year. Exit No. 38 will take them directly to the heart of the Technopôle and on to the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit.
