Indianapolis is a vibrant and fun city. There are plenty of live music bars and micro-breweries where you can try the local brews. You will find chic if you want it but eating out in the US is mostly informal and there are plenty of places offering enormous steaks, ribs and burgers. The menus are long, service is slick and the atmosphere loud and buzzing. Great nights out are guaranteed. Our hotel is located in Park 100 close to Indianapolis Airport with excellent highway access and a great base from which to explore some of the city’s most popular attractions. Over the 2012 Indianapolis MotoGP race weekend a section of the city's streets will be closed with access only for motorbikes and the thousands of fans who are drawn to witness the spectacle that has become known as ‘Motorcycles on Meridien’. Indianapolis's streets are filled with sounds of engines and a huge collection of bikes and choppers are on display. The legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been hosting races since 1909. It is a 2½ mile oval but the MotoGP is run on the 2.605 mile, thirteen turn road course specially constructed to host the F1 Grand Prix between 2000 and 2007. Our Indianapolis MotoGP 2012 tour includes admission to the Indianapolis circuit on Friday and Saturday with access to any of the open stands and an allocated seat in Grandstand H on race day.
