The Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or is one France’s longest
running historic car races, previously being held at
the banked Montlhéry circuit, near Paris. The event
now takes place at the fantastic Dijon Prenois circuit
in the heart of Burgundy. Dijon being a favourite
circuit for many drivers ensures that the top race
series are keen to attend. 2007 saw F1 cars and
Formula 5000’s on the grid together, 1950’s
sportscars with C and D Types
leading the way and
60’s Touring cars providing excellent endurance
races complete with driver changes.
Our tour includes an enjoyable drive down to the Burgundy region
passing through some of France’s finest countryside. We stay in Gevry
Chambertin at the centre of the Cote d’Or’s most illustrious wine
production. Entry tickets for the weekend are included and parking on
the inside of the circuit for classic cars. On Saturday evening we
include dinner at the competitors BBQ at the circuit.
