2027 MotoGP Calendar Announced: Full Race Schedule & Dates

MotoGP has unveiled its 2027 World Championship calendar, with 22 Grands Prix across five continents in the first season of the new 850cc era and Pirelli tyres.

The season opens in Thailand on 5–7 March and finishes in Valencia on 26–28 November. Two new venues join the schedule, Buenos Aires and Adelaide, while Hungary’s Balaton Park and Phillip Island drop off.

Two New Venues: Buenos Aires and Adelaide

Argentina returns after a year away, with a new home at the Autódromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez in Buenos Aires. The circuit last hosted a motorcycle Grand Prix in 1999 and is being fully renovated. It replaces Termas de Río Hondo and hosts Round 4 on 9–11 April.

Adelaide makes its MotoGP debut as the Australian Grand Prix, taking over from Phillip Island. It is the penultimate round of the season, on 12–14 November.

When Buenos Aires was first announced, Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta called it “exciting news for MotoGP, and for fans in Argentina and Latin America.” More recently he said of the renovation work, “what they are building is incredible.”

Argentina and Adelaide are both subject to homologation.

Hungary Drops Off the Calendar

Balaton Park leaves the schedule after two seasons, and Buenos Aires takes its place in the 22-round calendar.

Thailand Opens, Then Qatar and the Americas

Round 1 is at Buriram on 5–7 March, a week later than in 2026, followed straight away by Qatar under the Lusail floodlights on 12–14 March.

MotoGP then heads to South America for Brazil (2–4 April) and Argentina (9–11 April), before the Austin MotoGP at the Circuit of the Americas on 23–25 April. COTA is currently listed as subject to contract.

The European Season

Europe kicks off at Jerez on 7–9 May, a week later than usual, followed by Le Mans, Mugello, Catalunya and Assen.

The German and Czech rounds come back-to-back in July, then the summer break runs from mid-July until the Silverstone MotoGP on 13–15 August, a week later than usual.

The Austrian MotoGP returns to an August date (27–29 August). Misano and Aragon follow in September.

The Portuguese MotoGP is moved forward to 1–3 October and becomes the final European round before the flyaways. Portimão also hosts the Portuguese Grand Prix in June, as covered in our 2027 F1 calendar round-up.

The Flyaway Finale

Asia starts with the Japanese MotoGP at Motegi on 15–17 October. The Malaysian MotoGP has moved between Japan and Indonesia, giving the calendar its only triple-header with the Indonesian MotoGP on 29–31 October.

Adelaide follows on 12–14 November, and the season ends at Valencia on 26–28 November.
